§01 Overview
Rakett LLC operates a portfolio of digital products serving diverse audiences. Each product is designed with a defined intended audience and carries appropriate content ratings, age restrictions, and protective measures. This policy governs how Rakett LLC determines, communicates, and enforces audience eligibility across all Raketmo websites, mobile apps, and other products.
This policy should be read together with our Content Ratings Policy, Privacy Policy, and Ads Policy, which contain additional audience-specific protections.
§02 Intended Audience Tiers
Products or features explicitly designed and rated for all ages, including young children. These products contain no mature themes, violence, or adult content. All advertising is child-safe contextual only. Full COPPA protections apply.
Products suitable for older children with parental guidance recommended for the lower end. May include mild content themes appropriate for this age group. Behavioral advertising is not used. Parental controls are available and encouraged.
The primary audience for most Raketmo general-purpose products. Users must be at least 13 to create an account. Full product functionality is available. Standard advertising practices apply (with consent). EU users in this tier may be subject to GDPR age of digital consent restrictions (see Section 5).
Products or feature sections containing mature content appropriate only for adults. Age gates are implemented. Explicit opt-in and age confirmation required. Enhanced verification may apply in regulated jurisdictions.
§03 Age Eligibility by Product
The minimum age for each Raketmo product is disclosed in:
- The product's listing on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or other distribution platform
- The applicable Terms of Service for that product
- The account registration flow, where age is collected
Unless a product is specifically rated and designed for children (4+), the default minimum age for account creation and use of any Raketmo product is 13 years in the United States and the greater of 13 or the applicable age of digital consent in other jurisdictions.
§04 COPPA Compliance (USA)
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in the USA without verifiable parental consent.
Rakett LLC complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501–6506, and the FTC's COPPA Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 312). For any Raketmo products or features directed at children under 13, we:
- Obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting any personal information from the child
- Provide parents with the right to review, correct, and request deletion of their child's personal information
- Do not condition a child's participation on disclosure of more information than reasonably necessary
- Do not serve behavioral or interest-based advertising to child users
- Do not enable social features (direct messaging, user profiles visible to strangers) in child-directed products without parental consent
- Implement enhanced data minimization — collecting only what is strictly necessary for the child-directed service
For general-audience products not directed at children but potentially accessible to minors, we use neutral age screening at registration to identify users under 13. If a user is identified as under 13 during registration, they are directed to a parent or guardian for supervised account creation where applicable, or denied access.
§05 Age of Digital Consent (GDPR — EU/EEA)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Article 8, the age at which a child can independently consent to the processing of their personal data for information society services varies by EU member state. The GDPR sets the default at 16, but member states may lower this to a minimum of 13.
| Country | GDPR Age of Digital Consent |
|---|---|
| Germany, Netherlands, Croatia, Lithuania | 16 years |
| France, Italy, Slovakia, Czech Republic | 15 years |
| Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Hungary, Romania | 14 years |
| Spain, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Belgium, Luxembourg, Malta, Slovenia, Greece, Ireland | 13 years |
| United Kingdom | 13 years (UK GDPR) |
| Canada | 13 years (PIPEDA) / varies by province |
For EU/EEA users, Rakett LLC applies the relevant national age of consent. Users below the applicable age in their country must have a parent or guardian provide consent for the processing of their personal data. Where we cannot verify age with certainty, we apply the most protective standard applicable.
§06 Age Verification
Rakett LLC uses the following age verification approaches, calibrated to the sensitivity of the product:
- Age declaration at registration: The default for general-audience products. Users self-declare their date of birth. Users declaring an age under the minimum threshold are blocked from registration or directed to supervised account creation.
- Age gate screens: Used for accessing 17+ content within mixed-audience apps. Requires user to confirm they are of age before access is granted. The confirmation is logged but is not a verified identity check.
- Enhanced age verification: Where required by law (e.g., certain regulated content categories in specific jurisdictions), we may implement document-based or third-party verified age checks.
Age verification mechanisms are limited by the honesty of user input. Users who misrepresent their age in violation of our Terms of Service bear responsibility for that misrepresentation. Where we become aware that a user has misrepresented their age, we will take appropriate action including account termination and data deletion.
§07 Mixed-Audience Products
Some Raketmo products are intended for a general audience (13+) but may in practice attract users of different ages. For such mixed-audience products, we apply the following protective defaults for all users where we know or believe a user may be under 18:
- No behavioral advertising (contextual ads only)
- No sale or sharing of personal data for advertising purposes
- Enhanced data minimization
- Social features defaulted to private or restricted
- Content recommendations defaulted to age-appropriate
On platforms with family accounts (e.g., Google Family Link, Apple Family Sharing), we honor the minor status signals provided by those platforms where technically feasible.
§08 Parental Consent
Where verifiable parental consent is required (COPPA and applicable GDPR age thresholds), Rakett LLC obtains consent through one of the following FTC-approved methods (for COPPA) or equivalent GDPR-compliant methods:
- Electronic signed consent form
- Credit card verification (not stored)
- Video conference or phone call with parent
- Government ID-based verification (where implemented)
Parents and legal guardians who have provided consent have the right at any time to: (a) review the personal information collected from their child; (b) revoke consent and request deletion of the child's information; and (c) refuse further collection or use of the child's information. These requests should be submitted to legal@rakettllc.com.
§09 Protections for Younger Users
Across all Raketmo products, users identified as minors (under 18) benefit from the following enhanced protections regardless of the product's general audience rating:
- No profiling for personalized advertising without explicit, informed parental or guardian consent
- No sale or monetization of personal information
- Social features (messaging, profile visibility) defaulted to private or restricted
- No dark patterns in purchase flows or consent interfaces
- No nudge mechanics or manipulative engagement design targeting minors
- Location data not shared with third parties for advertising
- Account data deleted within 30 days of a verified deletion request from a parent or guardian
§10 Advertising to Minors
Rakett LLC prohibits behavioral or interest-based advertising directed at users under 13. For users aged 13–17, we apply heightened standards:
- No advertising based on sensitive inferences (health, identity, financial situation)
- No retargeting based on activity on third-party sites or apps
- No advertising content that is exploitative, misleading, or designed to take advantage of youth
- No advertising for age-restricted products (alcohol, gambling, adult content, etc.)
See our Ads Policy for full advertising standards.
